Blogging Again...

I have decided to start blogging again instead of facebook. More and more in the past weeks/months facebook has become kind of alarming and borderline invasive for me, so I deleted it. I thought, the more things I cut out,(certain movies, media, certain books) the less I desire them at all. Call me disconnected, call me old fashioned, call me whatever you like, but in the days and weeks past without it, I havent missed it in the least. My hope is to be more diligent and intentional - as a general whole, starting with this.

This morning I read in 1 Peter 5, and Paul talks to the elders of the church, "...shepherd the flock of God that is among you..."(v.5) and my mind has gone to asking questions about a shepherd. Wikipedia said "someone who tends, feeds and guards a flock" while they guide their flock from pasture to pasture. It also said something along the lines of shepherds often being somewhat nomadic in their lifestyle. On their own, living somewhat apart from society. Food for my thoughts, and heart.
